JAE x EDO TRANSFORMER

Jae Yeon Kim is a visual artist who explores characteristics and movement. Her practice is based on 3D which enables to encompass various disciplines all at once. We met at last year’s PAAL Pop Up Shop and immediately knew, that we had to work together!
Jae designed an artwork that we had printed digitally on a roll of active mesh fabric in Portugal. The pattern pieces were placed randomly, so each top is unique in the combination of sections of the design. Limited to only 46 pieces! Proceeds will be split 50/50 between JAE / EDO.

THE TRANSFORMER was born when we were sewing outfits for ourselves on a weekend night shift to the accompaniment of loud techno music. As soon as we put on the first version, we immediately felt its transformative effect. It turned into a long, sweaty night and a party for two, dancing in front of the mirror…
Soon after we transformed into explorers of a very windy and rocky island, hiking one week between nothing but rocks, sleeping under the stars, through wind and rain, always perfectly protected, equipped with super powers.

THE FABRIC is a performance mesh fabric, light and elastic. Fast drying and breathable, it leaves a cooling feeling on your skin. It was digitally printed, cut and sewn in our partner factory in Portugal.
